I´ve posted some pics and comments about my last X-Wing game: link

It´s the first time I play with the lambda shuttle and I´ve found it quite interesting…

Cheers!

I'm certainly no master x wing player, but I have won both games I've played using the lambda by driving it into the enemy formation so as to split up his force, and using my tie escort to focus on the isolated ships. it makes a good wall, and usually takes a turn or two for the rebels to get around it. it can certainly soak up a lot of hits if you give it defensive upgrades. plus, the heavy laser cannon is nothing to scoff at.

I might proxy some base and try a list out one of these days. 4 Lambdas with fire control and antipursuit lasers fit in 100 points. Of course you need 4 B-wings and 4 Lambdas to get enough cards to make it legal but I've faced off against a 4 Bwing list that was nasty. The Lambdas hit just as hard, have 2 more hit points, and the unblockable shots from the anti pursuit. focus and target lock every turn. Fly into the middle of the map and put two stationary in the middle. Then use the other two to fly circles around and force the enemy into the center fields of fire. If you face off against 2 falcons or the falcon/x-wing combo then you just box the falcon into a corner and smash it. It would be a fun list to experiment with,

It flies like a cow, but give it an Engine Upgrade, Fire Control System, and Gunner and you get quite the mad cow on a rampage!

Lovely pics – very atmospheric! (bad pun for a space game I know!)

@Hetairoi

Where did you get your space mat from? Is it vinyl?

I can confirm that the Imperial Shuttle is great at getting in the way. There's nothing like a big ship that can come to a full stop to thwart your fighter's attempted nimble maneuver. Grrr.

Thanks for the great pics!
