Make sure you look at the brief tutorial I did for my 'Sprue-zulus'. (10mm Zulus made from leftover plastic sprues.) I dare you to tell the difference when you look at my troops on the table.

Very cool! I've sometimes toyed (hah – TOYED – get it?!!?) with the idea of doing 10mm Zulus, usually right after watching a certain couple of movies.

The tutorial on making extra figs from left over sprue is very cool! You're right I don't think I could tell them apart at 4 ft.

Andy, she's a keeper! That Zulu kraal is terrific, as are your units. Please keep us posted. It's great inspiration for this Colonial fan. :-)

Just great stuff!

sausagesca17 Apr 2014 10:24 a.m. PST

Excellent stuff. I am committed (yes, in more ways than one…) to 28mm, but 10mm would be my next choice, I think. Especially for massed armies like the Zulus. My rules allow for any organization and basing and would suit really big units. Big stands with loads of figures…..glorious. Keep posting.

Smokey Roan17 Apr 2014 11:12 a.m. PST

Womble, how do you game Rorkes Drift with multiple basing?

I made a "Not" Rorkes Drift for 10mm, but I use individual basing. ( I tailored my fort to fit the number of defenders (5 individuals plus a sergeant is a unit)and seperate them into sections by putting buildings between wall faces.

That's how you do it!
