Hello ACW is not my cup of tea and my knowledge of the equipment used by the related armies is very poor
but i think that, maybe, those just issued plastic guns could equip my FPW French Artillery and maybe also my favourite Risorgimento armies (kingdom of Two Sicilies, Papal States and Piedmont)
i remenber to have read somewhere that ACW guns where exported or license made European/French Artillery pieces
..what do you think? |

They are close to the French that I think you could make them work. There are some differences in the kepi , but you could paint the lace on. Here is a link to the wargames foundry French artillery they sell. Some very nice close up photos. link I hope this helps. Matthew |

I'm having the same idea. At least the guns can be used for many conflicts of the time like the Paraguayan War. |

Thanks 45thdiv but my concern was principally about the use of guns..i imagine that generic/universal ACW crews could, in any case, result very useful with other armies..as gun crews, engineers, spare men ecc
but with artillery, in many periods, i have problems in identifying
thanks again |

Not to mention the potential for use in Maximillian Adventure! I have done this using Foundry minis |

The limber and the 12lb napoleon will work just fine from this kit. |

A flattened dab of Green Stuff can turn the CW forage caps into Mexican War forage caps. Unfortunately, of the four barrels offered, only the 12pdr howitzer was used in Mexico. A 6pdr barrel would have been really nice. Gun carriages, limbers and horse harness would all be OK. |
