Over the weekend I ran a 6mm FOW game using my 1942 North Africa forces that I have been putting together for some time now. This was a massive battle with four players (and your's truly as the stressed out Umpire) fought across an 8 x 10 ft playing surface over a period of 8 hours! I have published my Scenario notes, a map and a few photo's of the game on my Blog ( Alam Halfa Scenario ) for anyone that may be interested in running a similar game.
I'll leave the writing of a proper BatRep to the players and no doubt Ray (yarr68) will post a link here on TMP in due course (so if you're interested keep an eye open for it). BigLee blmablog.com |

BigLee, thanks for posting. Inspiring. That is a long game on a big playing surface. I would be tempted to avoid the centre. I look forward to Ray's AAR if he posts one, or one of the other players. |

Condotta, it was a big game and probably a bit over ambitious for me to run for four players only one of which has ever played FOW before. But we muddled through and worked it out in the end. One of the players has already posted a BatRep here and I'm sure it won't be long before Ray posts something as well. Good to see the game from another persons perspective. |

Nice set up report good looking map and game. However 8 hours for this using FOW? Our group uses Rapid Fire and I would venture to guess it would be a 2-3 hour game. |

We're a slow bunch
too busy chin-wagging and eating to rush the game! |

Just a quick response to the posted batrep. I understand you were all unfamiliar with the rules, but the Grants shooting was a bit too good! When stationary you get full ROF from 1 main gun only. i.e. 2 shots from the 75mm, then 1 shot each from the 37mm and co-ax MG plus AA MG if fitted. Alternatively 3 shots from the 37mm, 1 from 75mm etc. Look up the rule "Multiple weapons" on page 111 of the rule book, it describes the M3 there. Apart from that, good show, hope you enjoyed the game and will now play more FOW? |

8x10? Did you have trouble reaching the middle of the table? I try to keep the table down to 6 feet wide for that reason. |
