Hi, I've put together some characters that I plan to use in a Robin Hood game here: link . Please take a look; I would appreciate feedback from those who know Song of Blades and Heroes better than I do. Thanks, Hugh

Good job! I tried to do the same some time ago even if I have not much experience with SoBH and had the same problem not to make Robin Hood and Little John too expensive. Did you already test the two warbands against each other? I will by sure do it. |

Nice work there. I'm not sure about your Little John though (no jokes please). I'd maybe go for something like this: Points 66 Quality 4+ Combat 4 Special Rules: Big, Forester, Tailslap, Tough Ignore his bow and make him a bit more of a tank. The tailslap represents his ability to knock people down with his staff. |

warbands based on Hollywood-style heroes are better built on 500 or more points. I would add Forester and Leader to Robin :-) |

I really like the cards! Nice layout and easy to help remember the various rules
I agree with HarryhotspurEsq, though
Take the focus off Little John's negligible archery skills and put the spotlight on his hand-to-hand skills. Also, I don't know why it doesn't show up on the Ganesha website, but an additional bow skill is Good Shot which helps with attack rolls
It'd be good to add to 'ol Locksley. Bart |

Thanks for all the ideas. I've changed Little John along the lines suggested (C4, "tailslap" instead of "shooter"). I mulled over the idea of making Robin C3 and adding "good shot", but decided against doing this. He's always been pretty good with a sword as well, I think. I haven't decided on a points value yet, but I suspect we'll be using something in the range of 500 to 600. The initial battle report will appear on my blog in due course, after it has been played. |
