I set up my ECW collection in the Rat Palace Redux (my gaming house) to get a good count of what I have and see if I "needed" anything. Nope! I've got two full armies according to the organization in the rules. Anyway, I'm ready to host on the 22nd. Looking forward to rolling some dice. You should play this game if you're in the DFW area.. Fantastic collection and I have fallen in lust with the wonderful basing on your ECW figures, but what takes the cake is the NaW game. It looks spectacular. Thank you for sharing. Regards, Kurt. |

Are those Old Glory terrain boards on your table? The table and terrain look great. |

No the terrain is not Old Glory. It was custom made for one of the curators of the Kimbrell Art Museum in Fort Worth by one of his staff members years ago. The terrain set was "legend" in the area for years. It was called "playing on Wesley's terrain". I've got over 100+ 2'x2' fully terrained, indexed terrain squares inclusive of mountainous areas, stream and river areas, hills and rolling country, 24' of roads and speciality terrain such as stepped hillocks, small outcroppings and plain terrain squares. The index consists of small 1"x1" squares. All the terrain is numbered. All I have to do is set out the small scale terrain squares and go get the 2x2s that correspond with the small squares. Terrain tables that look like terrain instead of a cloth with felt on them. I've not used "wedding cake" hills nor felt for over 7+ years. I'm pretty spoiled and will take my own terrain to cons. All of the trees for woods are pinned with thicker needles (not straight pins). That means if I want to build a woods, I just pin in what I want. I can also build wooded heights, river wooded growth, etc. to conform to the terrain. I can build ridges that are ridges, smaller ridges building up to a higher end point and have real sunken roads to boot! I'm quite spoiled, fortunate and blessed to have this terrain. The guys gave it to our gaming group. It resides at my gaming house, The Rat Palace Redux in Red Oak, Texas. I'll keep posting stuff as we game more again at the Rat Palace Redux. I coach Robotics and teach so I'm sorta' up to my arse in alligators until about April. Please go ahead and subscribe or follow the blog. Steve Miller DFW Irregulars
