Just a simple, generic walled compound, to hold playest figures.

Wanted spmething I could build quick, in a hour or so while screwing around on teh internets.

Gonna scribe some exposed brick, spackle and paint, and add details like wooden window sills and doors, and some wall pegs.

(yes, and that is Bowie and Travis over the gate :) )

For a quick build, that looks great! Looking forward to seeing the final product.

Cool!

Is that thin blueboard from a home depot?

dBerczerk02 Feb 2014 2:20 p.m. PST

Is it modular, or all one piece?

Very nice, and quite inspirational!

Pretty good for just an hour or so. That would take me three days with my planning "method."

Smokey Roan04 Feb 2014 3:35 p.m. PST

One piece. Quicker that way, and it is only 15"x15", so it's also stronger.

The $1 USD foamboard at Dollar Tree! Great stuff! No need to use the good stuff for playset terrain!

(it is alos 2mm thick as opposed to 3mm "quality" foamboard, which is GREAT for 15mm buildings!!!

(not great for 54mm if you want actual scale thick walls, but iether is 3mm, and this is destined for my baby grandaughter when she's old enough not to eat it!)

OK, after a coat of 50/50 water and elmers glue….

Very nice -- especially like the little details: wooden rafters & damaged sections.

I hope you will post some future pictures of the fort with troops during a game.

Sure. That Elmers glue wash REALLY protects it. Made the entire fort stronger, and protects the walls.

Now to build a balsa gate
