Few new ones. The new Daario Noharis replaces Fabio the Hun, the old Daario who looked like a male underwear model. Merely an actor change. The Red Viper, Prince Oberyn Martell of Dorne, is there to seek revenge on the Lannisters for the rape and murder of his sister 17 years ago when Tywin Lannister's troops sacked King's Landing when Aerys the Mad King was overthrown by Robert Baratheon. His sister was the Mad King's Queen and mother of the Prince and Princess. Everybody knows that the Mountain did it. The question is, who ordered it?
His paramour Ellaria Sand is … the Red Viper's paramour. She is the mother of 3 or 4 of Oberyn's bastard daughters. There is a whole bunch of them, collectively called the Sand Snakes. (In Dorne, bastards take the surname "Sand".) They will probably not show up until next season. Meh… They are a boring sub-plot. They are a prime example of what happens when a fantasy author gets into writing 7 part trilogies with nobody to hold his feet to the fire. It's a sub plot that came up well before HBO stepped into the picture.  Oddly… Oberyn will soon be Tyrion Lannister's only friend!
