I'm starting a 28mm Japanese WW2 project and plan to use a basecoat and dip approach. Any suggestions for a suitable spray paint shade as a basecoat / undercoat would be very helpful. At the moment, it's a toss up between Army Painter desert yellow and Halfords ultra Matt green, but I haven't decided which way to go yet. Cheers Jim |

I'd use Krylon Khaki spray from WalMart, then heavily drybrush with Vallejo #117 Japan Uniform. |

I used Italian Armor yellow spray paint from Battlefront & washed with brown ink. |

If you go the dip route the Desert Yellow Army Painter spray works pretty decent. There should be some images of some we did in that style on our website. |
