I remember this from when it was first broadcast in the seventies – very funny in parts. On a slightly picky note, I don't think it's a radio adaptation. As I recall, it was an original radio production – written specifically for radio. Doug |

It was indeed written for Radio. The Radio Times gave it some nice coverage – illustrations of the main characters and a colour spread of the map of Middle Sea and a parody interview with the authors. Not sure who that is in the photo – doesn't look like Raddox the Green or Badedas the Blue to me. He hath something of a greyish tinge about him. Hmmm. Simon Callow was superb as The Crown Prince Veganin. |
