Hi there, OG15s (19th Century Miniatures) makes French wagons and ambulances in a couple of styles and I'm using those for my French army but for the Russians, Prussians, Austrians
everyone elses
I'm at a little bit of a loss. I know that 19th Century includes Russian, Prussian & Austrian drivers with their French wagons so you could in theory use those for the other nationalities but if you actually wanted an "Austrian" wagon – what would you use? Recommendations? Preferences? Cheers, The Bandit |

Minifigs makes Russian and British caissons. They also make a number of generic supply wagons. I don't know ho well they will match with OG15s though. |

Maybe I presume too much variation in a "wagon" I know caissons varied in design by nationality but was a wagon a wagon? Cheers, The Bandit |

Wagons were very different just like ordnance and their vehicles. Stephen |

Stephen, Thank you for the confirmation, it was my working assumption but I'd never researched to confirm it.
so Minifig has generic supply wagons, 19th Century (OG15s) has French supply wagons
Anyone got a recommendation for someone making nation specific ones? Cheers, The Bandit |

It's a conundrum. The French are famous for living off the land so manufacturers make supply wagons for them; the Austrians and early Prussians are famous for their reliance on supply trains and so no one makes wagons for them. I look forward to someone pointing out that the assumptions in these statements are factually incorrect. |

The Blue Moon 15mm/18mm Napoleonics has equipment lines for French, British, Russian, Prussian, and Austrian. They also have a section for Napoleonic era wagons and carts. Unfortunately, right now they seem to listing what they will be producing, but have not yet made ready for sale. Nonetheless, you can take a look at what will be available through them. My French and Austrians were done about a decade ago, long before Blue Moon producing its 15mm/18mm ranges. Most of my figures are Old Glory 15s and I used a lot of Minifig equipment. I'm not sure how available Minifig is currently. I know that when I undertake my 1809 Peninsular armies, I will certainly be looking a the Blue Moon 15mm/18mm Napoleonic equipment. You can see the equipment I used with my 1809 French and Austrians at link |

I would advise against Minifigs as much as possible. The wheel diameters are going to be more for true 15mm and so everything else is going to be larger when compared to your Minifigs. I've also been looking for British caissons, however I'm unable to locate satisfactory images to now what I'm getting before I spend any money. If anyone finds images of British caissons in 15/18mm, please post on here. |

Dear War in 15mm, Where is this list of upcoming Blue Moon wagons and carts? |

Go to Old Glory 25s and click on their 15mm/18mm box. That will take you to a box that shows Blue Moon and Command Decision. Click on Blue Moon. That will take you to their Blue Moon 15mm/18mm ranges. Then click on Napoleonics. That will take you to a screen with a boxes that list different countries (Britain, France, Russia, Austria, Prussia and in some cases different time periods of the Napoleonic era); it will also have a box that says Equipment. Click on that. Most of those boxes are equipment by country, but one says Wagons and Carts. I think its the last box on the right. That should do it. |

Chariot Miniatures produce the Hallmark range of wagons. I think they are really intended to be C18th but I think they would pass for Napoleonic: link

When I ran GFI, we offered things like pontoon wagons by nationality (Minifigs items). What made it national specific was the rider and horses tack. Of course, there are also country specific ammo wagons, ambulance, limbers, etc. as well. There were also large and small generic supply wagons, too (with loads). Since captured supply columns and successful sieges happened,(Take the supplies AND his wagons to haul them off with?) why wouldn't you see such a valuable asset being used by it's captors? In most games, it represents a marker for where your logistics trail is and can be a legit target! Also, the Minifigs ones are too nice to just blow them off as not being in the right "scale", IMHO. Do these types also use "correct" scale buildings in their games as well? (Just wondering here.) Best Tom |

I used a couple of the Hallmark wagons and carts as Austrian. I'm sure they aren't correct, but some others have stated, when you're at war its probable that you'll happily take what's available and integrate it with what you have. The Hallmark stuff is really nice, probably a little small, but looks good and will suffice until Blue Moon release their range of wagons. Pictures of mine are on my blog here link Colin |

As I said above, I used Minifig wagons with my Napoleonics but I forgot to say that I also used wagons by hallmark and I like them. As I recall they offered a lot of variety in non-military/supply-style wagons. |
