Hello, In last nights Flashing Steel game: I claimed that the game was played by measuring from the front of a base to the rear of the base using the measuring stick. The miniature moves in a straight line along the stick and is place so the rear of it's base is at the end of the stick. |

I don't know about Flashing Steel, but that's correct regarding SOBH. The miniature "leapfrogs" the measuring stick, thus allowing larger figures a slightly longer move. Bart |

I cannot find this precise description in the rules and years of front to front measurement are ingrained. The Yahoo groups threads are nearly unsearchable. I was just looking for validation, thanks Ranger

That's also the rule in Flying Lead: This means that they move from one end of the Medium movement stick to the other by spending one action. Players move a model from the front of its base to the back of its base (which means vehicles appear to move further due to the length of the base or model). |

There's also the implication when it comes to larger base models – they'll move faster but it's easier to swarm them. |

correct, leapfrogging the stick is the way in in most Ganesha sets. It will be front to front measuring in Song of Spear and Shield since that uses facing and ZOC rules. |
