Does anyone know if Murat still had a unit of Guides in 1809 and what their uniform was? I do have a picture in my copy of Bucquoy of one of his guides in 1803. In the picture he is wearing his pelisse and the dolman is not visable.

Probably Royal Stuart kilts, waiscoat a la Hussar, polished bronze breastplate, yellow hessian boots, and topped with a white bearskin! Dalmatian skin saddle cloths, naturally!
