Does anyone know if Murat still had a unit of Guides in 1809 and what their uniform was? I do have a picture in my copy of Bucquoy of one of his guides in 1803. In the picture he is wearing his pelisse and the dolman is not visable. |

Probably Royal Stuart kilts, waiscoat a la Hussar, polished bronze breastplate, yellow hessian boots, and topped with a white bearskin! Dalmatian skin saddle cloths, naturally! |
