Having decided that I liked my Shapeways Belter starships more than I thought I would, I bought some of the retro starships from another designer. Oh My! Much better (IMHO) in hand than they looked online. Not sure if I will lean these towards War Rocket or Full-Thrustish rules, but with sub-freezing weather in Texas preventing any priming, I am not be in any hurry to paint them or decide.

Enjoy!

Ooohhh, nice! Did you do these or are they from a Shapeways seller?

Goji62 did them.

Man, I really like those but I'm skeptical of the materials.
Which type would be rigid (avoid bendies) but durable (not brittle like resin)?
Basically, which available material is closest to good hard styrene?
So many thin bits to bend or snap… but such nice designs.

Those are sweet! War Rocket all over them.
Also, same question as Space Monkey.

Are these "white strong and flexible polished"?

Nope. Just plain white strong and flexible. I had a mix of wsf and wsfp on my belters and had to make it a point to distinguish between them. These have a slight grain to them but I don't care and they will paint up fine.

I can pinch these nacelles harder than any gamer on the table will and they have great resistance and keep their shape. They have the rigidness of at least a plastic fork tine but I think they would be less inclined to snap.

No reservations whatsoever here about putting them on the table.

Agreed, another cool War Rockt-esque fleet.

Check out some other entries on that page.

He has "Shado Interceptors"! Three (about 1.25" long) for $7.55 USD.

Goji62 does good work.

White Strong and Flexible is just as it says- many small fiddly parts in this are quite strong and it really paints well. Other good materials include Tranparent Detail and Fine Transparent deatil.

I have many small models in WSF and can readily recommend them to the fleet gaming community

Wow, guys, thanks for the nice comments! I am humbled!
