This tournament is still a ways off, not being until the fall, and I will try to not conflict with Fall In this time. But wanted to share the duties of a Leg Coordinator for those who might be thinking of joining in this year.
It is open to any country, or city/area which would like to participate but isn't able to make the trip to Coventry or Nashville. The Nashville leg will be held in our new gaming facility and space is not limited as it was previously. So hte more hte merrier.
Remember the theme this year is armies based on children's books/movies but theme armies are not a requirement – just ones that are either good or bad!
Here are the requirements of the Leg Coordinators
2014
Good, Bad and Ugly Tournament
Leg Coordinator Responsibilities
For the 2014 GBnU Tournament a "Leg" is defined as a group of tournament competitors who are separate and not participating in tournament play with another leg. For example in 2013 we had a UK leg in Coventry and in the US a leg in Nashville.
Any group who can muster a minimum of six players, three Good and three Bad, may participate and be eligible for the over all tournament prizes. One person must be designated as the Leg Coordinator.
The duties and responsibilities of Leg Coordinator consist of the following.
• Arrange for a game day and central location for the tournament.
• Arrange for any local prizes
• Collect and compile the following for the participants
o Participants names
o Army lists
o Scores
• Promptly forward final scores to Terry Webb for compilation with results from all legs to determine the top three and the bottom winner for awarding of the top Tournament Prizes, and the Tail End Charlie. All scores from each leg will be kept confidential to any other leg until all results are received and final compilation is completed.
Tie results will be handled as in 2013 by die rolls with witnesses under the supervision of Tournament Manager, Terry Webb.
