I've finished to paint the whole set PEGASUS (1/72) Even if the Indians life was not so easy and happy than we could imagine here, the figures reflect quite well the main spirit of this life. I've done some searches about the Native Tribes who live in California and were "assimilited" in the Missions, and I found that the Juanenos were one of those tribes: (interesting pdf-file here : PDF link ) Some pictures and more (closer ones) on my blog: link

Man! When I first saw your posts on these figures, I thought you were painting the 1/48 scale Pegasus Friars and Mission Indians. I should have remembered that you prefer 1/72 scale. Your work is even more outstanding than I realized at first. |

@saltflats : I know ! I've chosen bad positions for them ! they don't fight ! You're the first (apart me !) to notice it : you win all
my respect ! |

Very nice work. Sad to say those poor people had it Very Bad Indeed under the missions. Most died of disease and it is not easy to find people who are still "real" native Californians. The events related to Captain Jack (not Sparrow) are the only serious resistance they offered. Pete |
