Anyone happen to know the proper color of the Polish cavalry horse blanket? I ordered the Polish Osprey and was sent the French one so I have to wait for the proper book now. (Not sure it's correct anyway, being Osprey and all!) Anyways, can anyone help – and do you have a suggestion for the Vallejo that would match it? I can't tell from the Osprey cover if it's the same color as the uniforms or not. Thanks! |

One of my pals re-enacts early war Polish. The infantry blankets are grey, I see little reason to suppose the cavalry ones were different, although of course with cavalry you never know! |

Can't believe they don't have a color named that. |

Martin, Just want to make sure I'm clear – I'm looking for the blanket that goes under the saddle on the horses back. |

They were usually grey – maybe sometimes in uniform colour. |

The blankets seem to have a buff trim or binding, at least on the left side. See pics at:www.ww2F/topic/16774-polish-1939-reenactors/ |
