Looks really neat. Appears it is missing a few fishing rod holders for the rear though, just in case

Is that really where they stow all their gear on the AAV7? Doesn't it just get, you know, "rubbed off" enroute? |

After 20 years in the Marine Corps I can say this, yes thats where they keep their packs. One one op uring the 80s in South Korea I think it was Colonel Blitz we had to tie ropes from the metal pack frame to the track as extra measure, you see there is a metal bar that sticks out enough to un-hook your pack straps and snake it through and re-attach the rope was like I said extra protection. Most times you had your pack in the track and when you hit the beach you attached it on the outside of the track but if there wasn't room then it went on the outside and yes, they can be ripped off and also slashed by shrapnel I had that happen in Iraq. |

Yep, Everytime friends of mine that have been in an Amtrack, Bradley, or LAV see a nicely painted model they always say "Nice but it really should have the packs and a ton of other stuff strapped to the outside." |
