Hi all, Putting this on old school wargaming as I am interested in finding other existing true 25mm manufacturers to compliment figures that I have. Which companies make figures that are compatible with Minifigs, Garrison and Ral Partha? I find Hichcliffe to be quite oversized as are Essex, Dixon and some Irregular. All are excellent companies, but for that old school feel, I wonder if there are any gems out there that I'm missing. Any help appreciated. Periods are ancient, medieval and fantasy. |

RAFM fit in nicely with the old Ral Parthas and have an extensive ancients line: link We just had a game day yesterday for which a friend and I pulled out our Italian Renaissance armies made from Ral Partha and minifig figures. They caught peoples attention and I still love the look of them: link link link The Ral Partha Condotierri line is still available from great endeavors games, though he does not have the line posted yet. link David

25mm is a great size. Maybe there will be reverse scale creep one day? It needs a bold company to put it's "flag" into the ground and declare a 25mm range. martin |

"Splendid Little Warriors" ( link ) are TRUE 25mm figures sculpted by Chris Ferree and sold years ago by Richard Houston as part of his "Lyzard's Grin" lines. All of these lines are now available through TVAG. Better still, altogether NEW figures in the exact same scale are being sculpted now to expand the lines currently re-released. Indeed, it is our plan to continue to add entirely new lines and subjects in True 25mm, as well as True 15mm. As the ever growing phenomenon of "Scale Creep" continues apace, we realize that a large, if aging, number of us entered the hobby when 25mm figures were virtually the only size available. As our core collections are 25mm, there is a real need to be able to add to those collections with figures that fit comfortably alongside. TVAG is therefore in a remarkable position to serve this "emerging market," and while we do not anticipate offering such mainstream interests as Napoleonics, ACW, and Ancients, a good number of niche markets (Colonials, Victoriana, etc) can be served. And it doesn't hurt that all of these are priced for much less than most "28's" already available and still being churned out. Indeed, watch for the return soon of the most complete 25mm Sikh Wars line ever offered, as well as altogether new items and lines in both 25mm and 15mm--and it's all TRUE! TVAG |

Thanks Guys, I agree with the lot of you. There seems to be a good deal of true 25s out there and I don't want to have to buy larger figures when I want to add to my own collection. RAFM look great. Has anyone here had them posted to the UK, where I am. What was the postage like? Ral Partha Condotierri
have a growing lead mountain of Renaissance stuff and would love to get my hands on some of them. TVAG-Good stuff! So good that a lot of colonial stuff can be employed as from an earlier time if you go with non-gun-powder trooptypes. Please post other stuff here so we can all get an idea what's out there. |

I just got some figures from Mick Yarrow in the UK – 25mm Austrian Napoleonics. They fit perfectly with my old school Minifig 25's (not the newer ones, but I think not the S range either). I think these are the old REVO figures and I like them a lot. He doesn't have a complete list up on his website: link Good guy to deal with and made a deal with me sending some samples. I would recommend contacting him. |
