The Turkish horse are Old Glory Ottoman Arab cavalry and Sharifan revolt Arabs. (pistol holsters trimmed off, bandoliers filed down into crossbelts or milliputted into sashes.) Converted to lancers by wrapping a length of fine wire around a wire spear – drilling a hole in the rider's wrist (they had separate weapon hands anyway) – pushing the ends of the fine wire loop into the hole and gluing the whole thing – then sculpting a greenstuff hand around the wire. The pictures make them look shinier than I thought
might give 'em a quick spray. Next time out, we plan to rate them as 'tribal cavalry' just to see how the rules play out. |

Those Turkish cavalry looked fine on the day, they were worth all the conversion work! Norman always does lovely work on his figures! |
