Is this : link in sweepingly general terms "any good" ? By which I mean – would any wargamer with a normal and healthy passion for plastic figures standing a little under one inch high enjoy reading this (or even looking at the pictures grin ) ?

Another thumbs-up here. Lots of images of the different box art variations throughout the years, as well as images of the figures themselves, although of course you could find those on plasticsoldierreview.com I suppose.

It covers Airfix playsets and forts, and also covers some other manufacturer's figures too.

One weird thing: my copy has one page that never got translated from the original French! Page 51 to be precise. I know that typos are more and more common in books these days but this is pretty strange….

Despite this I'm glad I have the book on my shelf. There is a companion book about Matchbox kits which is worthwhile too but that covers more than just their figures.
