I recently started my own Pacific Rim project, being a complete newbie on the giant monster scene. I'm chronicling the project on my blog, and so far I've done three posts, listed below from the oldest to the newest.

Ah, for those who don't want to venture out into the blog, key points:

- Scale is around 2mm
- Jaegers are Reaper CAV models
- Kaiju are drawn from various manufacturers
- Rules used are Ganesha Games'

That looks about right, IMO, for giant monster gaming. I'd like to use bigger monsters (6"), but I just don't have the budget/space/willingness to go that route. Using monsters/robots at 2-3" seems to work better for me.

Looks like fun. I have been looking for a good system for it myself. Have you been happy with Ganesha Games' rules?

Thanks for the comments! I haven't tried the GG rules yet, but judging from their other sets that I've used (Fear & Faith and Flying Lead) they should work nicely as the core mechanics are pretty much the same.

Added a few miniatures to the project: Marvel Heroclix Sasha Hammer, and Monsterpocalypse Zorog.

And here's a comparison picture:

Finally figured out the way to do streets/blacktop for the city: link

The answer? Wallpaper.

Looking good so far. I like your street solution. May have to bite that one!

This is looking fab.

Just waiting for my Chromium Chargers dreadball team to arrive to make some Jaegers and I'll be catching you up!

Got something added for a change, built some ruins! Going to need them with giant monsters anyway…

Cool stuff! That's a good idea. I'll have to "borrow" it.
