Customers, clients or something else? I usually say clients but does that make them sound like johns? Customers? Does that make them sound like shoppers at walmart? Is there a better term?

Why not use the term patron? It was good enough during the Renaissance.

I sell on ebay, so the people who buy from me are all winners.

Customers is fine. Why use anything else?

Customer & client are interchangable for me as most jobs are commissions these days. Patron sounds good though – perhaps I'll start using that.

Patrons is nice but it seems a little overbearing on my part.

I guess clients just sounds a little more respectful than buyers or customers???

14Bore23 Jan 2014 3:08 p.m. PST

I would just say Hard UP

I think of myself as a dimpled benefactor. Open-minded and generous.

hzcmcpheron23 Jan 2014 5:51 p.m. PST

I'd go with clients.

Clients are the people who obtain services from professional types such as lawyers, accountants, tax auditors, and other service providers. etc. These types are sometimes called patients when The service is from a health profession.

Customers are people who buy Goods and merchandise from grocery stores, hardware stores, department stores.

People who purchase art are called patrons. "Patrons of the arts. ". Our local library calls people who borrow things also as patrons.

Chumps ? Victims ?

I know a lot of you are trying to be funny but I know some really great gamers that buy painted figures. They dont have the time or they are not good at it. If you think there is something wrong with it go back to reading White Dwarf and chugging the koolaid about buying the whole gw paintset.

kreoseus224 Jan 2014 5:08 a.m. PST

Rog,

I was reffering to anyone who paid for a miniature I had painted, not to those who buy painted miniatures in general.

Phil

Rogzombie Fezian24 Jan 2014 9:35 a.m. PST

No prob, Phil, you aren't the only one though. I was more or less referencing people who look down on people who buy painted figs. Its probably something they teach in GW stores :)
