Basicly an open world RPG, set in late medeival/renessnce holy roman empire.

Ride along, do quest, kill small groups of bandits or take part in large scale battles and sieges.

The ask for £300.00 GBP 000 to help back it, they do have a private investor that has spent over 1.5 million dollars so far, and this kickstarter is to reasure him that people will buy this game.

It's just day one and they are almost one 3rd the way there.

Btw there will be a M&B sequel at some point…not much for news on the site. Happily wasted many hours on that game.

Mount and Blade is my biggest addiction. The Blood and Iron mod is amazing by the way.

The game has raised £233.00 GBP 000 in about 24 hours, so this is going to happen.

The people behind it seems to know what they are talking about, they are not going to rush the game, and we have to wait untill desember 2015 at the earliest for the finished game.

Looks pretty bloody amazing, first kickstarter anything i've done. Big thumbs up.

Pretty much most figures that are ok for War of the Roses will work for the 15th century Holy Roman Empire(now, not all of them, but many will).

Thanks, I'll think I'll try 15mm, simply becasue I've done way to much 28mm. Would this period be to early for landskecht? Would spears start to take more place.

Yes, it will be a bit too early. Weapons wise it depends on where you are situated. The Scots and Low Lander's used pikes, and probably some of the German armies started using the pike also (Swabians from which the Landskecht will arise). But pole-arms as opposed to just spears would predominate as an infantry weapon (all of these are generalizations I can check my Osprey books for more info).

But believe me the Mirliton stuff is ridiculous in how good it is

Essex is a classical of course, and there are a couple of other 15mm ranges that may be worth looking at. Search through the medieval and Renaissance message board.

Lots of cool wars to cover. Get the free audio book of Machiavelli's History of Florence for some inspiration. Look up the Hussite wars, and the early struggles of the Hapsburgs. You also have the Hanseatic League, wars between Knights and Cities and Cities with Cities in Germany, Poland-Lithuania etc

They past their 300 000 goal last night, and have not 50 more then the goal, and it's less then 48 hours since it started. People are now talking about reaching 1 million before the 27 days are over.

The kickstarter ends in 31 hours and they are £40,000.00 GBP away from 1 million.
