Everyone needs a hobby, some are just more impressive than others. |
Juramentado | 22 Jan 2014 2:12 p.m. PST |
The landing gear tires were the most impressive – rounded! Say what you want, everyone has a hobby to keep themselves fresh and distracted – this definitely counts as one. |
tkdguy | 22 Jan 2014 2:23 p.m. PST |
No, I'm not patient enough to finish such a project. Of course, I'm also too lazy to even consider starting one. |

You would really need to love passenger jets to do this. They do nice work, though. |

I once built a paper model of Mikasa. In some ways it was a relaxing pastime but it also took a very long time. Making the secondary gun turrets was rather tedious. Just another hobby. |
Micman | 22 Jan 2014 4:55 p.m. PST |
Very impressive. He makes everything work like the real aircraft. all the hatches open with accurate hinges. |

No, but I can still admire those who are and who can produce these kind of models. |

I wonder if he will make them available commercially in different scales. And I wonder what the wait time would be. |

There's a Polish model of a nuclear reactor that has something in excess of 3000 parts, and some others that have similarly gigiantic part counts
not the sort of thing I want to build. |
Forager | 22 Jan 2014 10:41 p.m. PST |
Egads!! I could feel my sanity starting to slip away just from looking at the pictures! :-) So, not for me, but very impressive nevertheless. |

Oh man. I was complaining about the number of folds for my cardstock Chickenhawk build to my buddy 2 weeks ago. This is just fantastic. |

I had to build two 1:35 scale "Orcas" from "Jaws" back in the day, from scratch. I can do it, if the price is right or my enthusiasm for the subject is huge. :) However, my 28mm radio controlled Nile Paddle Steamer (for Khartoum gaming, AND radio control fun on the lake) is still in the bulkhead and planking stage, for the last three years. :O

wait a second
your brother-in-law??? So he has met a woman, and still chooses to spend his time doing this? I have no words

I have a 1/144 scale paper Zeppelin model that I downloaded from a website that I really would like to start building sometime. As for this, no I doubt I would ever manage it. |
Fizzypickles | 13 Feb 2014 6:07 a.m. PST |
This would be a form of torture for me. |
tuscaloosa | 13 Feb 2014 9:17 a.m. PST |
His brother in law shared the article with him, didn't do it himself. Fortunately. |

First off This guy needs to meet a woman
Pretty uncalled for, who are you to cast judgement on what this guy does for a hobby? Don't be jealous because it's beyond your skill level. No, but I can still admire those who are and who can produce these kind of models. That's exactly on point, sir. I agree. And to the matter at hand. Very impressive and my first thought was I'd love to play Disposable Heroes: Point Blank in it with a Counter Terror Team vs some Terrorists. Can you say "Mile High Club" from Call of Duty 4? Amazing. |
Lion in the Stars | 13 Feb 2014 11:41 a.m. PST |
The scale of the bird would make it great to use as your gaming table, though you'd need to use the smallest possible bases. |

Could do with a bit more leg room in coach class! :-) |
