Okay another Idea here is to use PVC pipe caps for storage tank, plus you can get them in almost any size for gaming terrain
Glue the two end together and make a larger tank as well |

Add some Dry Transfer logos and danger markings. Scratch them up some. Seal. Add rust, and a leak or 3. Good to go. They look at me odd in the plumbing section, as I pull out my scale card to check stuff. You can get some a bit flatter on top up to 3 to 4 inches across and around 3 tall. |

An interesting idea, and a perfectly timed post – I'm about to go a DIY shop right now so I'll see what they've got while I'm there

Project second life. I love it when someone goes out and finds new use for other things like this. I have several boxes of junk waiting to serve again as part of something else. |

You have to look around, but I'm finding that one can find them in several styles I guess is a way to say it, the other thing is finding them in different sizes 1/4 inch would work for 6mm games and moving up the scale from there |

Check the soft-drink aisles at your local supermarket for those kids drinks in the round-spherical bottles. The best quality plastic ones are the Coke & Sprite Xmas 'ornament' bottles but not as easily obtained. That said, either make nice spherical storage tanks, a bit of plastic sprue make framing and piping details quick and easy. |

Poland Spring Aquapod bottles look useful. I've had my eye on them for awhile, but I have too much "terrain raw material" in my basement, as it is.
