Looks like great fun. I am tempted to get into this: the HotT armies are relatively small and very imaginative. Grelber |

Grelber, I was always a pure historical gamer, and only slowly came around to even trying HotT. However today I find that HotT is more fun, playing it with fantasy armies or historical armies. As for the fantasy armies, you are limited only by your imagination, but saying that I have found that movies or books are the most fun to adapt. For example I am working on four armies right now and am soon to start a fifth (WWI Germans). The four I am working on are The Earps and the Cowboys at the OK Corral, Glinda of the Wizard of Oz, Weirdstone, and Rama. And you are right, the number of figures needed is usually small for a 24 point army. If you are familiar with DBA then it is an easy switch. Terry |

Hmmm
Paul and David seemed very happy to be facing you, Terry. Like cats about to dine on a canary. So, are you plotting your revenge? Those armies are terrific, and Paul's forces are as imaginative as ever. Thanks for sharing. By the way, where did y'all play? I didn't recognize the room. |

Parzival, yes, you could not be more right about Paul and David! They seem to take great pleasure in "teaching" me how the game should be played! But two nicer guys I've never met and we always have fun. And I agree 100% about Paul being so creative. He never ceases to amaze me! We were playing at a location the HMGS group meets at as they had invited us for the day. It was very nice and very roomy. I am always plotting a come back, but then I usually get that "lesson" taught to me all over again!!!! Terry |
