Fighting had errupted sporadically around the disabled ship for almost 2 months. As some forces had neared it the others had teamed up to repel them and tried to slip forces in themselves.

Eventually a truce had been established and it was agreed that UN forces would move through the massive ship. It was unknown why the alien forces had abandoned this particular craft after fighting so fiercly to maintain the integrity of their crashed fleet.

A small detachment of Pan-Oceana soldiers would be accompanying the Aleph tech that would access the ships storage systems to see what they could find.

While the information would be shared, most of the nations didn't think they wanted to share. Maybe they missed that day in kindergarten.

With a hassassine Fiday disquised as one of the Aleph technicians the Haqqislam forces were able to distract the other nations enough to get a small force aboard.

Simultaneously a Yu Jing force managed to sneak a Guilang and a Daofei aboard with a tehncian. From another part of a ship that had been recovered they had some access to the teleportation devices the aliens had constructed. With the tecnician aboard they teleported a small force to the teleportation chamber on the ship.

The Ariadna force used a more traditional method, they tunnelled under the ship and came up through the hold.

The engagement started almost right away. The ariadna forces detached two HMG armed troops to cover both corridors leading to the area of the ship directly behind the bridge. A small group detached themselves from the rest of the force and made a break for it.

They were closer than their opponents and thought they might be able to recover the Aleph technician and get her out before the others could seriously thwart them.

The Hassassin Fiday had moved very close to the teleportation chamber and disquised as an Aleph technician drew little attention from the Yu Jing forces who were more interested in gaining access to the main computer banks of the ship.

As they moved past the technician though the Fiday threw off his disguise and opened fire. It was not very effective and he was soon crumpled in a heap leaving a bloody smear moving down the ships bulk head.

Bullets came ripping up the passage way though and the Yu Jing forces dove back to cover from the veteran Kazak shooting at them with an HMG.

The haqqislam commander decided to redress the situation and sent his two young Muttawii charging towards the Yu Jing forces. They moved up the hall way, bullets richocheting around them, some striking home but the two were so filled with religious fervour that they cared not.

When the reached the Yu Jing lines they set off their e/mitters reducing 5 combi rifles to useless metal sticks and destroying the cubes in their users.

After preventing any possibility of resurrection the Haqqislam shock troopers, now bleeding from multiple bullet holes, pulled up their chain rifles and let fly with the last of their will power.

As they sank down under their wounds they saw 5 Zhanshi bodies hit the ground before them.

The Daofei and Guilang were still moving down the hall way avoiding detection by the Ariadna forces.

Then the Haqqislam troops opened the door in the corridor between them and the Yu Jing troops and fired down it keeping the remaining Yu Jing troops bottled up in the teleportation chamber.

The Ariadna forces enfiladed the Janissary that was part of this and forced him to move back into the hallway.

The Tuareg went after the two Kazaks who had done this killing one, before being killed by the other.

The Ghulam now determined to make a break from it despite the barely visible form down the barely lit hall way.

They paid for it when fire from that direction killed two of them.

Deciding that the cause was lost, that even if they made it to the front of the ship they would not be able to overcome the Pan Oceana troops, the haqqislam forces retreated, the Janissary covering their withdrawal.

Now it was a struggle between the badly mauled Yu Jing forces and the scattered Ariadna troops.

The Daofei engaged the tankhunter in a machine gun duel and got the better of him. Then the Guilang decided to sneak up and take out one of the Kazaks, but he survived and dove behnd cover.

The Moblot was then able to enfilade the Guilang and she went down in a hail of bullets.

At this point the Yu Jing forces had had enough and they teleported out the way they had come in.

The Ariadna forces waited for the technician to get everything they needed, then a quick ambush took care of the guards and they absconded with her through the tunnel they had used to come in.

Nice, it did happen!

I like the walls and Hirst combo, great open spaces and details too.

Wow… that's an awesome table!

Pictors Studio21 Jan 2014 2:52 p.m. PST

The table is awesome. It is probably about 12 feet long in total and represents a Chaos ship from 40K. I've never played 40K on it but one day it would be great to pull out the Black Legion again and have them repel some Blood Angels.

The table is located at Legions Hobbies and Games near Pittsburgh.

What is here is just one section of the table mostly.

You can see another part of it if you look at the Cod Seekers battle report I posted. I finally put pictures of that up.
