This battle would a struggle between the Jaegers of Pacific Rim against some classic Kaiju. Gipsy Danger, Crimson Typhoon and Striker Eureka would defend the city against the ravages of Mothra, Anguirus and Gamera. I selected These three Kaiju because they are generally assumed to be underdogs in the Kaiju world. Typically getting beat down hard when they appear. Also, these three figures come from the Revoltech line tends to be slightly smaller scale to the SH Monsterarts line. The Pacific Rim figures from NECA tend to be on the larger side also. I wanted to see if such a disparity in size would detract from the game overall.
Each team would start opposite one another on the long board edge.
Round 1: All combatants move up to attack and nothing else happens.
Round 2: Kaiju win initiative. Mothra makes the first attack and attempts to blast Crimson Typhoon with her electric blasts but misses. Both Crimson Typhoon and Striker Eureka target Mothra with their powerful plasma cannon and missiles respectively but both miss the elusive insect. Meanwhile, Gamera and Gipsy Danger square off against one another on the other side of the city. The Jaeger barely misses Gamera with a plasma blast.
Round 3: Kaiju win initiative. Mothra entangles Striker Eureka with her gossamer webs. Striker Eureka fails to break free. Anguirus comes up behind the pinned Striker Eureka and smashes him for 15 damage which dazes the Jaeger. Crimson Typhoon finds itself out of position and has to backtrack to get around to the action. The Jaegers on this side had intended to double team a single Kaiju but now they find their strategy being used against them! On the other side of the city Gipsy Danger fails to hit Gamera with a melee attack but Gamera strikes back for 11 damage.
Round 4: Kaiju win initiative. Anguirus continues to beat on the helpless Striker Eureka and inflicts another 8 damage. Mothra then flies up and delivers a powerful electric blast which knock out (deactivates) Striker Eureka! Crimson Typhoon then comes up behind Anguirus and misses with a melee attack. Gamera and Gipsy Danger both hammer away at one another but both fail to inflict damage.
Round 5: Anguirus uses his tunneling ability to burrow underground and come up behind Crimson Typhoon. He then smashes the Jaeger from behind for 11 damage. Crimson Typhoon is forces to use the recovery action and regains a modest 11 health back. Mothra attempts to entangle Crimson Typhoon with her gossamer webs but misses. Gamera blasts Gipsy Danger with a fireball inflicting a mere 3 points of damage. Gipsy Danger strikes back with plasma bolts that hit for 7 damage.
Round 6: Jaegers win initiative. Crimson Typhoon moves forward turns around and attempts to hit Anguirus with a powerful plasma bolt but the shot goes wide. Mothra blasts Crimson Typhoon for 10 damage while Anguirus misses with his power spike ball ram. Meanwhile, Gamera and Gipsy Danger continue to pound on one another with neither combatant inflicting damage.
Round 7: Jaegers win initiative. Crimson Typhoon uses the block action while backing to a more defensive position (attempting to avoid being flanked by the two Kaiju). Anguirus pursues but his attacked is block. Mothra also, follows and hits the Jaeger with a melee attack which inflicts 6 damage. Gipsy Danger inflicts 10 melee damage on Gamera while the giant turtle hits back for 6 damage.
Round 8: Jaegers win initiative. Crimson Typhoon uses its spinning blades to inflict 5 damage on Anguirus. Anguirus strikes back with a devastating horn, claw and bite attack that deals 15 damage and disables (KO) Crimson Typhoon! Gipsy Danger unleashes a brutal melee attack against Gamera and deals 15 points of damage. This dazes Gamera and brings him close to zero health. Mothra swoops over to the other side of the city to help the beleaguered Gamera.
Round 9: Jaegers win initiative. Gipsy Danger fires plasma bolts into the dazed Gamera and knock him out with 12 damage! Mothra swoops in and fires an electrical blast which misses. Anguirus strides towards the battle with all his speed.
Round 10: Jaegers win initiative. Gipsy Danger and Mothra engage one another in melee combat but
both miss. Anguirus continues to move towards the fighting.
Round 11: Kaiju win initiative. Mothra entangles Gipsy Danger with her gossamer webs. Gipsy Danger uses its Nuclear Vortex power to burn the webbing away and escape the entanglement. Anguirus continues to move up.
Round 12: Kaiju win initiative. Anguirus attempts to deliver his spike ball ram attack on the Jaeger but misses. Gipsy Danger recovers 13 health while Mothra delivers 4 points of melee damage.
Round 13: Kaiju win initiative. Anguirus hits Gipsy Danger for 9 damage. Gipsy danger misses Mothra while Mothra misses in return.
Round 14: Jaegers in initiative. Gipsy Danger tries to unleash its plasma cannon on Mothra but misses. Mothra in return delivers a power blast of electrical energy which inflicts 10 damage. Anguirus then attack from behind and strikes the Jaeger for another 12 damage which disables the Jaeger.
Mothra and Anguirus are the last two monsters standing!
