Is it just me or does there seem to be some ridiculous barrier that items have to go through when getting into the US from the UK? Objects from China seem to get here really quickly. I've had packages get here from China quicker than packages mailed from the other side of the US. I've had packages mailed from Sri Lanka Italy Germany New Zealand and the UK. Of all of them the UK seems to take the longest. When I've mailed items to the UK it doesn't seem to take that long but coming
ugh. |

Typically takes 1 to 2 weeks for me. Rarely have to wait longer for items from the UK. A couple of times I got items in 3 days. |

Just 1.5 months for a package to reach Zurich, Switzerland from the east coast of the US. We have been waiting for a package from there as well. At least now, customs seem to be an issue. Hopefully it will get better soon now that the holidays are behind us. |

UK TO US usually takes about 5 days when I send them
try asking senders to use Airmail – it's quicker than surface

I have mailed to the UK and had packages arrive there in 5 days to three weeks. The same time frame when I receive packages from the UK. On average it takes about a week for me to receive a package from the UK. |

No problems to report when sending packages from the U.S. to the UK, France, Japan, Sweden or Australia. But German customs did hold up one customer's package for five weeks last year. |

Most of my experiences have been about 1-2 weeks tops. A few have been longer, but in each case it was because they had to cast up part of my (large) order and they kept me in the loop. One took about 8 months with no communication or reason. I'd given up on them. |

I have ordered figures from the UK several times in the last two years and they have always arrived in a reasonable 8 to 10 days. No problems that I recall. There is a US distributor that took several months for complete delivery last year as the figures arrived in small packets, and it took several e mails and calls to get everything straight. Rough experience and I will not buy from them again. |

I get my items usually within 1 to 2 weeks, this is on small packages. On larger packages ever since the bomb plots from UK to USA a couple of years ago the turnaround can be much longer. I was told that the packages sat on palattes waiting to be inspected for security reasons. |

It works both ways. I had a package for a customer in France take 14 days just to go from Philly to Chicago
why it went west first I have no idea. |

I once waited nearly three days after I placed my order for a Ground Zero Games package to arrive in the US. By their standards, that is positively disastrous. |

I'm waiting on a package from the UK that was supposed to have been sent on the 19th of december, prior to that I ordered from hasslefree, which took about 2-3 weeks. But 2 shipments is hardly a large sample size |

I'm waiting for a package sent via Royal Mail on Jan 8th. I'm not in a hurry so won't start worrying for another week. |

It has been running 1 to 2 weeks for me also. I have been surprised by the consistency of this time window for packages running from a package with a few rule books to a box with a bunch of lead. |

Normally within 2 weeks. However there is a tendency for anything that falls outside of that 2-weeks to become much longer as its usually a sign that something has gone wrong, stuck in customs, on the floor in some depot etc etc. We tell customers to always get in touch with us if they havent had a parcel within 2 weeks. If you leave it too long then sometimes the package is on its way back to the sender. /Dee |

I blame the US postal system. Packages from the US consistently take the longest to arrive compared to anywhere else in the world. I live in Vancouver, Canada, an hour's drive from the US border, but I can get a package from Hong Kong, Poland, or the UK (all of which I did in December – and my package from Poland landed in 7 days, right before Christmas) shipped to me in a week or less, while something that has to cross the border from the US will take weeks. |

UK customs at London airports is a shambles. I had a parcel from Germany (tracked) arrive in the UK the day after purchase and then "go missing" for 6 days. I contacted UK customs who had no knowledge of it even though the carrier had it booked to them. I put pressure on the carrier who then put pressure on customs. It suddenly reappeared and was quickly delivered. This is not an isolated case as I have a number of friends with similar experiences. |
