Packs of Dingo's – new 20mmZone releases
We are pleased to announce the release of 4 new sets of Daimler Dingo mark 2 armoured cars. There are 6 different models across this new range.

Previously these models from old Skytrex were retailed at £10.50 GBP each. If you buy them as a pack of 6 different models, these now work out at £4.66 GBP each model. That makes these a staggering 55% cheaper now. New moulds, new format to the model. Additional useful stowage and crew figures come on top of the saving.

And the really big plus point here is, they are way easier to build than plastic kits currently available and cheaper as well.

All metal, one piece castings with separate crew figures with LMG weapon and spare wheel as optional extras. 5 pieces in each kit.

These are so easy to assemble. See above. Provided with instructions if you really need them.
Crew figures are cast on seats for ease of painting and adding to the dingo.
There are 3 sets of 2 models in each pack. These are sold as sets A, B & C which is clearly shown on the base of the models. Each model in the set is different in that these are Dingo Mark 2 but having moulded in stowage on the vehicle. Typical crew personalisation of their vehicles. Each comes with a Bren gun to be mounted as desired.
Spare wheel is optional and should be mounted if used, on the rear decks or engine compartment.

These are also available as a pack of 6 i.e. 1 each of sets A, B & C as described above.

Pre-order Dingo's essential as initial demand is very high and exceeding our expectations already. Avoid disappointment and pre-order these plus you get free additional product- see below.
The 20mmzone show pre-order and collect incentives. You can use the pre-order incentives we now provide to get free products, that you choose on the day of collection. It also means you get the products you want, as show stock at these prices won't last too long?
This is how it works. Pre-order and pay up to 5 days before the show on the web stores,
• Check out as collect from store (No postage charge then)
• That will earn you 5% of the order value towards you selecting from the joint ranges i.e. what you fancy or want on the day. This means you get additional free items that you choose at the show.
• If you spend £100.00 GBP or more as a show pre-order, as described above, you will get 10% of the value of that order to select as free products from the show stock on the day. Not bad is it.
Thanks for your interest, and as always, Ian and I look forward to your comments.

They look good, so much variety too. The different crew figures are a great idea.

Look simple to put together too. You only have to add the crew, LMG and spare! :)

These look very nice :-)

Man, if I wasn't already so heavily invested in 15mm…

These minis are gorgeous!

I'm so glad I sold off all my 28mm and went for 20s! There is so much cool stuff coming out and the retooled models from you guys are on the top of my list. An order will definitely be forthcoming from me.

I just bought a kit/box of 20mm Dingos as they were going cheap.

Exactly how were they used? Would an armoured commander use one as a command vehicle or were they just for scouting?

Tarleton17 Jan 2014 1:06 a.m. PST

Armoured commanders seem to have used the Humber scout car as it was slightly bigger and roomier. But, I'm sure some commanders used Dingos too.

Thanks, Tarleton.
Another question, sorry.

How often was the lid put down?

spontoon18 Jan 2014 4:44 p.m. PST

@ochoin light1;

Apparently very seldom! In fact the later models of the Dingo and the Canadian Lynx were made without a metal roof. It was supposed to be very dangerous to be mined with the roof down; would also make for a slow egress when hit by other anti-armour wepaons.

If I recall didn't the armoured car regiments use a mix of Dingos and Daimler Armoured Cars in their squadrons, with staghounds for command vehicles and a couple of AECs with each squadron (regiment?) HQ and a few Humber AA armoured cars too? (in NW Europe there was usually one AC regiment assigned to each armoured division – although not formally part of the TO&E).

These lovely models would probably be great for an armoured car troop, alongside a couple of 2 pdr armed Daimlers – perfect forward recce for your tanks.

War Wheels has an excellent page with the TO&E for every regiment in NW Europe link

Saw these in the "flesh" on Saturday – fantastic detail, also I hadn`t realised they were white metal castings too.

Really top quality and nice guys to boot :-)
