I'm in the process of building a large force of Maya warriors and would like to add variety through the addition of feathers to some of the figures. I'm also scratch building a large number of shields and would like to decorate some of them with a smattering of feathers. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! L |

Making your own isn't too difficult with green stuff. If I can do it, anybody probably can. Here's a good go-by: link |

Leaf Confetti The linked one above may not be what you want, but browse around Amazon or your local Party City store. I have also mad my own confetti with scissors. If you use thin cardstock, the pieces should be fine
they're very small, so they won't bend once you papier-mâché them on. |

You might try pipe cleaners? clipped and trimmed down they might make passable feathers in 28mm. With some glue and paint you can even flatten them out.. |

These folks pastimesonthesquare.com have sold a bag of leaves that I bought for 28mm feathers. I don't know if they are still available or not, or whether they are listed on the website. If not on the website, you might call. I met the gentleman at the conventions in Lancaster, PA. He will probably remember my purchase as we spoke about it for several years at the conventions. Tom |

If you're looking for something of a plume effect, search eBay for "chaos space marine heads topknot," -'the topknots are plastic, quite large, and can be cut down into serviceable plumes. |
