Truly shocking and sad news. He was such a good spirited man and it was a pleasure knowing him, even if only from here.

Shocking and sad news. A witty and knowledgeable light has been extinguished here.

RIP SMC!

Hank was my carousing buddy in our younger days. He was fifty five. His health hadn't been good, but this seems to be a very sudden event. His family hasn't said much beyond "Someone will let everybody know what happened, soon."

RIP Hank. Say hi to Ram, Zook, and all the others who left us too soon.

David Manley15 Jan 2014 4:16 p.m. PST

Stunned. I had a few conversations with him along the way and found him to be a thoroughly decent gentleman. He will be missed.

Thomas Nissvik16 Jan 2014 3:02 a.m. PST

This is so sad and so sudden. Hank was a fixture at Great Hall Games in Austin as well as on my Facebook page. I find it hard to believe the new year is beginning so badly. I'm gonna miss him.

14Bore17 Jan 2014 3:17 p.m. PST

One can find obituary's from local papers, don't know if its a no-no but would love to see it. So if possible would someone post a link? I would appreciate it very much.

Midas Gordias18 Jan 2014 1:35 p.m. PST

For those interested in condolences, Hank's family is posting their plans on his facebook account: link
