Ladies and gentlemen: the Guidebook app for Cold Wars 2014 has now been published to the guidebook download site and is ready for your downloads. This is a little later than the download for Fall IN!'s guidebook was. Sorry about that-- Guidebook is not as big of a priority for Cold Wars as it was for Fall IN! but I'm getting the information I need as it becomes available, with the kind assistance of Bob Van Der Kamp, Cold Wars events manager. What you'll see in this download is: the Event Schedule up to the last PEL publication (with any errors corrected), the Seminar lists, and general convention information (location, hours, theme, etc.) I have Tournaments to do yet, but that's a tedious exercise in cut and paste so I'll update this in the next week or so (most of the tournament information is largely static, in any case). So the bulk of the effort is done with the event schedule (thanks, Bob!).

Yet to do: Maps and Room Layouts (usually not final until closer to the con), Exhibitors (usually finalized about a week ahead of the con), Hobby University stuff, and Tournaments (see above).

As always, once I update something, you do nothing, just open up GB near a wireless or 3G/4G connection, and it will prompt you for the update download.

Hi Walt

Just tried searching for the Cold Wars 2014 guide in guidebook and I tried the QR Code from your blog but I get a "No Guides Found" message. Maybe I jumped on this too quick. I thought you should know.

Yep, I just got it kicked back for having "placeholders" in Maps and Exhibitors. Even though I've done that in the past.. I turned off those modules and I just resubmitted. Sorry about that, it should be sorted out today.
