Can anyone tell me if Mick Yarrow Miniatures and Blackhat Miniatures Myceneans are compatible?

Also how do Museum compare?

Thanks

I can't recall having seen the Black Hat ones, but the MY are a bit on the chunky side. I would recvommend the Museum ones, they're fab, especially the chariots

Are the MY ones well sculpted and chunky or just chunky?

I've gone with Museum for the bulk of the army and yep they're pretty good.

I have one or 2 I picked up cheap, they're just chunky. OK, but I wouildn't mix them in units.

PS, I haven't seen the Black Hat Myceneans, but if they're like the Egyptians then they are stunted troglodytic little figures with long bodies and short legs

Yeah I gave them a pass, however I did buy the Sea People and Libyans and they're fine, chunkier than Museum but not a bad match sizewise. I'm thinking about getting Blackhat Hittites too.

Can you recall which MY you got?

Bellbottom15 Jan 2014 6:04 p.m. PST

Chariots (2nd hand) and tower shield infantry

Cheers for that.

Answering my own question here but it might be of use to others.

MY Minoans and Mycenaeans will fit well enough with the excellent Blackhat Sea Peoples, they are bit smaller than Museum Myceneans. MY Sea People are big and some too crudely made for my taste. I got a couple of MY Hittite chariots they are OK and will see use but I'll go with Blackhat for the rest.
