"Lego has finally released some images of their forthcoming Simpsons set and series of minifigs. And they look amazing.

However, for now all we can do is look at them. The set — which includes bricks to recreate the Simpsons' Springfield homestead and Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie, and Ned Flanders(!) – won't launch until Feb. 1. It'll set you back $200 USD but, you know worth it (shut up and take my money, etc.). Another line of 16 minifigs will hit stores in May, when Fox airs a Lego-themed episode of The Simpsons to celebrate the show's 25th anniversary.

Initially, there was some backlash online from Lego fans who lamented that the show was "not a kid-friendly theme," but this set looks like fun for most ages. Homer's not even holding a Duff beer in his hand — even though considering the circular Lego hand design seems perfect for one…"
