Hi Folks,
One of the for ever roleplaying systems I ever cut my teeth on, was Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. The I bought the book brand new from GW Chester (when they sold such things) and I ran game at my school..
Now over the years I have played many differing fantasy systems, but the lore of "the old world" is calling and I have a few questions about 3rd edition, that I am hoping some folks experienced with the rules might care to share a view or two upon..
1). Speed of play.. (Not the setup, as I realise this take a few minutes to get cards etc out. But skill checks, decision making? Sluggish or average or quick?
2). Speed of combat? Is it quick, to get through average sized fights? or are there lots of things to calculate?
3). Need more than the one set of dice? The main set seems to come with a fair few,, do you find you need more for 4 players or so?
4). Which of the man expansions are worth a grab, and why?
Cheers in advance.
