YOWZA. Almost makes me want to go back to 28mm!

Frederick Supporting Member of TMP08 Jan 2014 12:16 p.m. PST

That is one mean light tank

Stealth100008 Jan 2014 12:41 p.m. PST

Get back to doing 15mm. :-)

Aladdin08 Jan 2014 2:56 p.m. PST

Now that is a nice tank. Kinda has a Merkava-esque feel to it…

Lardie the Great08 Jan 2014 3:31 p.m. PST

Yep, like that a lot, so when can we order?

Redroom08 Jan 2014 5:41 p.m. PST

wow

Lion in the Stars08 Jan 2014 7:23 p.m. PST

K does make this in 15mm, right.

khurasanminiatures08 Jan 2014 7:33 p.m. PST

No, not yet. I will though.

(Major Disaster)08 Jan 2014 9:50 p.m. PST

OH YEAH! Me definitely going back to 28mm minis now! That is one SWEET looking tank Jon!

Chuckaroobob09 Jan 2014 4:20 a.m. PST

And I'm sure if we buy a lot of these there will be other 28mm tanks in the future!!!

BlackWidowPilot Fezian09 Jan 2014 11:24 a.m. PST

Now that is a thing of beauty, a sci fi tank that looks the part, not some cheesy WW1 tank dressed up with skulls and oversized guns like some kid's video game excuse for a tank!

Bravo, Jon!evil grin

Plenty of flat surfaces to stick skullz… if you like that sort of thing. As it is, it's Perfect air portable armour for drop troops.

Two things – detail wise – tht I particulalry like are the cables along side of the barrel and the towing hitch.

The smoke dischargers are pretty slick too.

What is this beauty going to cost? Some battlefields are going to need a platoon of these to push back the enemy ;-)

If the turret hatch can be either open or shut I'll take 3 please. I have to have one with my commander looking out getting some fresh air…er, ozone…thumbs up

dwartist10 Jan 2014 3:16 p.m. PST

Turret hatch can be open or closed…

Lion in the Stars10 Jan 2014 6:00 p.m. PST

If the 15mm beast comes with a more conventional-looking cannon, I am going to need at least 4 of them to go with my Federal Exterminators. If not, I hope the gun is resin so I can easily shave off the "power cables."

Those look a whole lot like the tanks in the Colonial Marines tech manual!

Looks good already, may I say "Oi, Dwartist pull your (talented) finger out!" now? but really, it's got a purposeful look already.

dwartist11 Jan 2014 11:01 a.m. PST

the 'daylight' blue caste in the previous photo disappears under a lamp and contrasted with the other camo colours

Very nice, where's the fig from? conversion? any chance of a pic next to a Ant. Workshop Zebu or Bear.

dwartist11 Jan 2014 2:36 p.m. PST

figure is a Pig Iron tank crew conversion. Yep, I'll do a few comparison pics sometime next week.

Panzer gray?

dwartist11 Jan 2014 3:09 p.m. PST

No, not Panzer Grey. Vallejo Dark Grey/Blue over Black primer and that in turn misted with US Grey. Blueish caste caused by taking photo in daylight.

khurasanminiatures11 Jan 2014 6:55 p.m. PST

Wow!

When is Kurasan reopening its virtual doors for business? There's quite a few things on my wishlist!

BlackWidowPilot Fezian13 Jan 2014 10:42 a.m. PST

Lookin' good. Amazing what a few decals can do to an AFV model…evil grin

While it looks good, I keep on having the odd feeling like it's a bit to thin for the turret size.

dwartist13 Jan 2014 2:15 p.m. PST

Looking a little less pristine after a heavy application of a grey filter to stain and discolour the surface and the addition of a few scrapes and chips in the paint. Also started on the tracks.

Lion in the Stars15 Jan 2014 12:45 p.m. PST

Oooooh! Very nice!

I know some 28mm gamers just dying for a non-Gothic tank!

(Personally, I will be getting probably 4 of the 15mm versions)

markmors21 Feb 2014 8:07 p.m. PST

The tank and color scheme are really quite nice.
What paint color/brand is the greenish or blue-green camo color?

dwartist22 Feb 2014 5:13 a.m. PST

Vallejo Model Color, Dark Blue Grey 70904.

Ethanjt2122 Feb 2014 6:33 a.m. PST

Dwartist, you are a god amongst mere mortals. I think I just pooped seeing how incredible that turned out.

derynnaythas08 Mar 2014 5:33 a.m. PST

he's pretty awesome! I wish to take one for a Onicorp faction conversion, like the Polecat, who's beautiful to!
