- no delivery. Did they go on vacation in December
? or experience some family tradegy I wonder. Can anyone else hep me with my enquiries here please? Happy New Year Everyone BTW, Mike. |

They can sometimes take a while
.that's why I prefer to order from Amazon, just pre-ordered the first volume of the French Dragoons. |

I like their products but customer service is variable. I ordered 3 books and a magazine in November. One of the books is yet to be received, the others came in two different shipments. That may depend on availability, but they do not respond to emails, which I find annoying. |

I really like their books for painting from. I find them far more useful than Osprey. I buy from Amazon. That doesn't help you right now but might in the future depending on how you feel about Amazon. |

I usually buy mine from On Military Matters. The books are great, I've never dealt with them directly though. |

It used to be that orders were shipped from the associated bookstore, but that was closed last year as everyone bought all their books from amazon. Are you sure you are sending to the current email? I will make sure someone in the office sees your post. |

Apparently I don't anymore. On one hand it was December and everyone goes on holiday. But my attempt to get someone to address this seems to have gone no where. I'm really sorry. Put in a paypal complaint and try and get your money back. Then buy from another source. There was a recent study done in the US of low paid employees. It found that depending upon how much staff is currently paid, a pay increase of one dollar resulted in a return of between 10 and 28 (!) dollars in more sales. Which is pretty amazing, but having worked as a minion in a big store for a few weeks this Christmas I can easily understand it.

Thanks for trying Jon
I`ll probably leave it until the end of this month before claiming anything back. My thoughts are that there are three, or four things that a seller should do I think: 1. Send an acknowledgdement of the customer order. 2. Send a receipt for money sent. 3. Advise the customer if the items are not in stock. 4. Provide estimate of the postage/shipping time. These things can be done automatically
they can be done in one or two emails: Amazon do it, Ebay sellers do it
it`d be something (at least) if Historie & Collections did it exclusively in French ! Mike.

I've ordered several publications from them over the years and have always found them efficient and reputable. |

Me too, never a problem (although I'm in Europe, I must add) |
MichaelCollinsHimself | 07 Jan 2014 10:13 a.m. PST |
Well, I don`t know why it should be a problem, I thought the UK was in the EU too? |
deadhead | 07 Jan 2014 11:27 a.m. PST |
That is why we have an English Channel
or for some of us, an Irish Sea! Just to create such problems
.. |

but boats can go lost on the North Sea |

The Saxons, the Vikings, and the Normans all found England easily enough
but it would seem to be a modern problem ! |

It's not the EU that is the problem
it is often the Euro. We stayed out of the Eurozone in UK. Ireland did not and has paid the price. |
