I have a lot of Grumpy's 15mm Cossacks on our web page. As described on the ERM site, these Cossacks are suitable for armies from the 16th to the 19th centuries. They will even find a place in early 20th century Russian armies. I'm going to try my hand at painting units to sell as a opposed to bare lead. So I have three questions.

I have no idea what size bases to use? I have no particular rule set in mind.

I figure 3 mounted per base but what about foot?

Where to buy bases? Suggestions?

Now to convince my wife to allow me to set up a place to paint. : )

Thanks Duane

Everyone will have their own opinion but I prefer to buy my painted figs unbased. 2 figs per base on a DBx base is probably pretty safe.

I like Litko bases but they seem to be a little slow getting orders out.

Agree with 79thPA. I often see nicely painted figures but don't buy because basing not to right size or not my style. If you want to sell, I reckon you will do better with unbased. Perhaps base a couple for photographs, as good bases can really set off a figure. It's also going to cost less in postage if figures are unbased, as you can pack into smaller packet. At least in UK, it can make 2 or 3 pounds difference between cost of "large letter" and "small parcel".

Yep. Two on a 30 x 40 base for cav.
