Hi, I bought almost a complete platoon of US Infantry from artizan 28mm range. I need to add some final figures and wanted to add perhaps another range of figures to get some different poses. Can anyone tell me which figure range from another manufacturer, metal figures, might match Artizan for size etc? Also, the artizan BAR figure seems to have a bag or something similar slung below his belt at the rear of the figure. Can't work out what this is or how it should be painted:( Mike |

Yes, both Crusader and BT are perfect matches for Artizan. As far as the item on the BAR gunner's belt, I just looked at the picture on their site and it's either an equipment bag or a rain poncho hanging back there. If it's the former then it would be the same color as the canteen cover, ammo bandolier, or even the spats on the boots. If it's a poncho then it would be a khaki greek similar to the coat he has on. |

I am quick to mix different manufacturers, celebrating the fact that the standard soldier was not necessarily 6'0" and 120 pounds. Okay, it's more awkward when equipment measures up differently, but I find once pieces are on the game table such details are usually left for only the painter to agonize over. I find Tamaya's 1:48 scale infantry equipment to be a near identical match to Bolt Action's plastic equipment. If my Crusader rifles measure a little shorter, well, stop looking so closely.

People have pointed this out, but I agree it doesn't get enough scrutiny--the relative size and scale of people is far less important than equipment. The rifle should be similar across your figures, but the people actually should be diverse. |

For BTD, sign up as a premium member (or whatever term then use), which is free, and they are currently offereing 50% off all historical infantry. |

Old Glory- not sure who that is these days. I'm not sure I would mix BTD. Just stick with Artizan-they are my favorite. |

I have Artizan and BTD and they match very well together. |
