Delbruck We will finish the Parthians/Early Sassanids then tackle some southern Italians for the Punic period before filling out our Successor Range, after that we are yet to commit to which Roman period we will cover. We will discuss this during the first part of the coming year and keep everyone informed in due time. Happy New Year everyone. Keith and Adam Aventine Miniatures PS I really want to do some Byzantines

Yes, thanks for sharing! Byzantines would be great! Belisarius needs some love. Of course Byzantines and Arabs for Yarmuk would be splendid also. |

Looking forward to Aventine's Parthians too; hoping they'll help my current total lack of motivation! Regards, Craig |

We will discuss this during the first part of the coming year and keep everyone informed in due time. Thank you for the update. Iranian cataphracts and light horse archers will be very nice, but do you plan on any additional specific Saasanids elements, such as armored horse archers or infantry spearmen? |

So little time
Aventine or Aventine Miniatures

messing up your wife's Saturday plans
Aventine. Take care and looking forward to the new minis. |

If Keith and Adam are doing 3rd or 4th C I'd better start saving. If they ever do 5th and 6th I'll have to start robbing banks. Musketeer is bringing out some real nice Arthurian cavalry sets and I believe Gripping Beast has some in the pipeline as well. |

Given the size of my lead mountain I am resolved that 2014 should show some discipline! So unusual 28mm figures please – Seleucid Agema would be 'nice'. Relic may have something in train? Later Achaemenid Persian foot/mounted command – looking for something akin to the Sasanid 'diorama' Aventine created. Perhaps a brave soul could create Pontic cavalry – whatever that means! Garry |

I got quite excited about Parthians too, when Warlord released their horse archers (though I think these are not their own sculpts). I need figures that will fit with my mix of Warlord (predominantly) / Perry Foundry and 1st Corps (cavalry) EIR
Happy New Year Paul |

If there will be Sassanid foot can they not have globe hats please? |
Delbruck | 02 Jan 2014 7:08 a.m. PST |
If there will be Sassanid foot can they not have globe hats please? It appears from the Aventine site that the current release will be cataphracts, (light) horse archers, and command. I agree, when Sassanid foot are released it would be good if some variation of the Phyrgian cap be the common head gear. Although it would also be nice if some foot have helmets and mail under their tunic, as shown in the Montvert book. |
