The latest addition to my Spanish fleet is one of the four sister ships of the Montanes class. This ship fought at Trafalgar.

Way cool

Another beautiful Spanish ship, Vol. The stern detail is especially nice. I'm going to have to try that style of hanging the pennant too. Looks really sharp!

Very nice work indeed. Almost inspires me to go work on all the Langtons I have lurking in the shed.

You have done it again Vol. She looks great. Hope the book is tied down this time.

Vol, I don't want to tempt you away from Spanish ship builds, but David M. on the Anchorage just posted a thread indicating the Langton's are releasing some new ship models. Rory, you can probably ignore this as you've got your other fleets to finish. :-)

Right Jim, I saw that and just opened the USS Congress and USS Adams for Christmas. Haven't thought about the Saturn or 28gun sloop yet.

Speaking of other Langton ships, I have the 28 gun schooner. I have done exhaustive searches on threedecks.org and other sites and cannot find any historical 28 gun schooners belonging to any nation. Any ideas as to what this model is intended to represent? Is it just a "would have been cool if it had existed" game piece?

Vol, I found this thread on TMP from 2009. I'll keep looking and if I find something else I'll let you know.

Yes Jim you are right. But I can still look and dream, and my smaller scale fleets would be bigger!!!!! But hey! we are going off thread big-time. Just go to the top of this thread and look at Vol's beautiful ship.

Thanks Jim, that was exactly what I needed to know. My 28 gun schooner will be the Meshuda, Tripolitan navy flagship. Now to find the correct ensign……

Beautiful work yet again Vol! I really like the line of copper peaking out at the waterline, very attractive. And I agree with Jim that the way you hang the pennant looks really great. Eventually when my collection is larger I want to add the national markings, and will probably copy you :)
