Just posted some pictures of my latest Napoleonic command stand on my blog. It is a bit of a break from the usual strictly military subject for these:

Enjoy and a Merry Christmas,

P.S.: And of course the usual pre-view (more clickable pictures on the blog!):

Eureka's "The Duellists" is a fun set. I keep meaning to paint some for display as the 3rd and 7th hussars.

Thanks Ian. I liked it a lot, too.

Greetings

Nice work but be careful, you can get bashed for showing legs around here lately!

Rudi, spend some time looking to find them, but neither could I. Strange. I will send Nic an eMail, maybe he can help!

Larry, you must be kidding! This forum cannot be that prude! At least I painted the area underneath the blinds skirt as a black area! evil grin

"The Duellists" were originally available in an advance release that included other figures.

See link

When Eureka released the wheelwright and sword sharpener as figures in their own right, along with the cantiniere and field bakery, for some reason Nic decided against officially releasing the duellists. I have to ask specially for them and I keep the figures in their original set. I'm sure Nic will also supply them on request, and enough requests may see their official release…

My "bricole" feels funny.

Nice work.

Hmm Ian,

That explains it. I could only remember ordering the bakery, sharpeners and vivandiere last year and was irritated when I could not find them as part of any of those sets today. Thanks for clearing that up!

@Ashenduke: I think those officers might say the same! wink

@14th, yes I am afraid so, see the posts on the Boobies page and the Hobby News about Scale Creep going on vacation!
Either way I like your work!

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Should it bother me that I would bet the French Hussars really did indulge in such behavior?

Rudi the german24 Dec 2013 12:09 a.m. PST

Thanks!

Thank you all.

@Lion… I think they could have done worse things!

Nice, what rules are you using?

I've seen worse many a Saturday night in Boro town centre. No hussars, but plenty of girls with even worse hair colouring fighting it out (and not with pillows). Now, the drum colours, I'd like to discuss that because I cannot feel that any French unit would have………….

French hussars invented the miniskirt?
