A few days ago I posted a quick review on the Expeditionary Force 60mm Greek Hoplites just released. The following showcases some more of the sculpts and compares the Conte Plastic 60mm Spartans.
Below is a ranked up shot of 4 hoplites and a leader standing on a 5 inch hex (part of my Commands and Colors Ancients stuff).
In the hoplite box you get a helmets – all of which you can swap around as the heads are the plug in style.
The spears were a bit bendy however the old hot water / ice water method straightened them out. Now the spears are separate from the weapon arm and if you were feeling adventurous you could add your own metal spear – too hard for me.

Below are some comparison shots of the Ex Force greeks with a Conte plastic Spartan. Overall size wize I think they are compatible. I would use both on the same table / battle but probably not in the same formation. The Conte figs are definitely 'beefier' but as they are Spartans I don't think that is too much of a problem. The spears and shields are slightly larger on the Conte figures – but again nothing I think would stop you from using them on the same table.
The nice thing about using the Conte stuff alongside with these is the pretty decent variety you could get with the Conte Spartans – although they are a bit pricier per figure than the Expeditionary Force stuff.
