I'm looking for the above in 28mm. I have my eye on Kendra from Hasslefree as a model with the right pose/clothing/figure. The face is too off though.

Anyone know of a better alternative I can headswap? Don't mind if she has long or short hair as starbuck had both in the series.

Ta!

I like the new series, but I guess I'm old fashioned. She isn't Starbuck, this is Starbuck:

What about a head swap with this figure? Looks close to the first picture of the new Starbuck.

Probably not that hard to do in sculpy?

Kara Sloan is an obvious option, but the hair might be too stylized for your purposes.

Here's some classic 28mm BSG figures that I created.

Good shout from 45thDiv – that looks pretty spot on. Plus I like the figure and can use the spare head on it.

Also, dglennjr – those classic cylons are pretty dead on!

ok guys first merry and happy .. second like the idea ..ive been working on doing the exact same thing ..3rd i'm gonna keep this thread going a bit more ..i hope to entertain .. few years ago ..i used to do custom bsg mini's over at star ranger's.. if you look at my pics on photo bucket you can see some battle stars i modeled ..i even went as far as trying to film them before i sent them out in to the world .. so let me jump on and burn this thread .. so yeah as well as the old cylon's of course i wanted new cy's as well ..same idea nothing to outlandish ..battle droids and a proxy head .. im not the only guy to do this exact swap ..found another brother who did the same but his paint was poor but good enough for a game ..any how fun to look at ..my bot is not painted yet ! after this post i will post what 28 mm i had come up with as a proxy for the first war cylons ..[URL=http://s295.photobucket.com/user/rangerrocket/media/IMG_7057_zps850767cd.jpg.html]

so guys here's some more mods really like the work ive seen here and thanks all for the great links love the old school lead much.. so a friend who does 3-d sci fi star wars asked me what ship i wanted ..i told him my dream was to have some 28mm heads in classic cy.. got them in yester.. not the best photo but heres some of the line up not sure what line the female is from as she looks more 28mm than 25mm but next to her.. i was going to go with these for bodies alternative armies from the uk the line is still being sold ..and has some great poses .. a nice old school flavor but maybe too much heavy gear ..so i might stick with clones for cy heads //last bot on the right is a swat shadow run fig 25mm my friend made heads that fit that line as we did not know what size would fit the clone so its all good[URL=http://s295.photobucket.com/user/rangerrocket/media/IMG_715563_zps2d9edb7b.jpg.html]

Perhaps i'm pointing out the obvious here, but space vixens from mars do a good not-cylon (old school type). Only one pose, though.

Johny Boy03 Apr 2014 10:24 p.m. PST

I'd look at Widow from Hasslefree's Spec Ops team, but it's a purely personal choice, good luck with the project

super johnny rocket04 Apr 2014 3:49 a.m. PST

great i will check that out ..i know he did a colonial ish adama and ty and six luv em as well.. i picked up a pack of his advancing aliens for a ovion group so i'll add some arms for that ..my idea was just spot on like dglenn jr. but i will never find the one eye robots so the next best thing was the heroclix ..but the fun factor panned out and i was able to get most proxies new show and old from bashing those.. down side the human faces on the line are dreg ..so i might cast some new faces .. my project is simple .. just a snow battle ground with burnt out city buildings a cylon tank with mechs and nu troops human cy's against some viper jocks on the 1980's motobikes and that truck they had one ice planet zero ..it's gone a little beyond that because i can proxy with ease now the hard part is over thanks to mr utar that was the only hump i faced .. i'll for sure post in a few months when its all done ..i did not mean to highjack this thread i really liked what i saw ..if any want to post any work i will surly enjoy ..david g's work was the nail on the head funny story too lol

Han, from the Star Wars minis collectibles line.

Just needs a repaint, but the pose with him holding a pistol is quite convincing. Perhaps a little green stuff, if you really want to go wild.
