We decided to try another game of BTLB2 at the club today, using some more troop types, and a bit more terrain! You can see the full write up at: link
Enjoy! |

Thanks for the write up! I'm considering going with these rules. Mike |

I like the late 1600's with Louis XIV & Vauban. I presume these rules are for that period? Is that right? |

Yes your right drummer, can use them from 1660 to 1720ish I don't know much more than that I'm afraid, anyone have a tutorial run-through on how they play? I'm thinking these are good too, but what scale and can I solo play these. |

Is there anything in the rules covering sieges? |

Hi Guys! BTLB2 is definitely designed for 25/28mm figures, but does not have a solo system. It has a section of rules on fighting in built up areas, which includes a simple system for bombardment and assault. I don't think it would be difficult to work out a siege based on these. The rules have a demo game at the back showing how a game plays, and the League of Augsburg site link section on BTLB2 has some good help on it. I have to confess, some of the rules could be a tad clearer written, as it is possible to misread some rules. The LofA will help a lot if you ask for clarification though! Definitely worth playing! |

the group locally plays this but in 15mm, just an FYI it seems to scale fine |

we use 10mm and use cm's and again a good game can be had with these rules, you just need to start close enough together to get into combat. jon |

As RazorMind said we use 15s and it works fine. A great "Old School" style with lots of period flourishes. Highly recommended. |
