I am concerned that a spray paint might cover up too much of the detail. |

I brush prime with gesso. |

I never had a problem spraying micro, so if you are light handed it shouldn't be a problem. |

I use a very watered down craft paint black and brush it on. The stuff is so small it seems like a waste to spray it. I just want to get a black base down so I can hit it with a few strokes of color and be done. That's the great thing about the scale and the models from Pico. Doesn't take much to make them look pretty good. |

I've never had an issue with lightly spray priming them – have painted lots! |

Tamiya spray fine surface primer. Light grey. Never a problem |

I use the same Walmart black or gray spray paint primer on them as I do any other miniature. Never had a problem with detail loss. |

I just brush on the base color
Usually a couple of coats. |
