Sounds like there is enthusiasm for this game and it looks good. Can someone help me with this?

Is this sci fi squad leader or panzer blitz? (fine with me if it is)

Are there morale rules--a comment in the site support made me wonder

Does the game differentiate between the empires--Federation/Klingon/Romulan?

This one? link

Note that the BGG server for images is down, so some of the comments may seem odd … 'cause the image they're commenting on isn't showing up!

And the game itself.

I've played one game of it… possibly the introductory scenario. It's pretty much a simple old-school wargame. Very easy to jump in to. IIRC it's a one-counter-per-man game (which makes sense for boarding parties).

They do differentiate between factions.

The counters are for squadrons. It is meant for ground combat scenarios, not boarding ships. :)

The comment has been made that the counters are pretty retro in appearance. With Xander Fulton's gorgeously detailed maps, we didn't want the counters to "get lost" into the background.

You can also look at the album on ADB's page on FB: link

I liked the MACOs link on Star Trek Enterprise …

So, how do you think this game would work using the newly available 3mm-6mm figures?

Lion in the Stars11 May 2014 9:11 a.m. PST

I'd honestly prefer doing it with 15mm minis (I've seen a good number of 'not-Trek' crew characters), though we'd need ADB to make the tanks and ground-support shuttles. 6mm is below my threshold of pain for individually based minis, and I'm only looking at 3mm for Napoleonics.

You could use almost any skirmish-level mini's rules to simulate ST or SFB ground combat.

Stargrunt would be pretty good at it.

There are others.

I've heard of Stargrunt and seen some positive comments. Are there any grand tactical rules or is the assumption that any ground operations on alien planets would be skirmish level?

Whoops---I see Dirstside 2 is the answer to my question, or one of them.
