Next year marks the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Kursk – one of the biggest battles ever fought in human history. This means some great excuses for wargaming. Great excuse for painting up some new toys as well. Indeed we are thinking to do the Battle of Kursk campaign out of the Battlegroup Kursk book and try to have one game on Saturday, the 12th of July. |

Um, Battle of Kursk occurred in 1943. This year is the 70th anniversary. But 2014 is good for Operation Bagration! |

I just realised that. That's what happens when you spend half the night painting terrain and have to get up early! |

Well the 71st anniversary is good enough for me for an excuse for a game! |

Same. I couldn't have played my planned campaign this year anyway due to a lack of Commie Churchills. Kursk ain't right without a suicidal Churchill assault. |

Well at least you got the terrain done, so good on you! |

As I recall, World of Tanks did a fair bit to mark the occasion back in July ;) |

World of Tanks isn't real though. It's gotta be lead and plastic and resin. |

One of my many side projects is making my WoT T-34 in 1/35. I've even got crew and tank riders :) |
